48 hours to apologize to the traditional ruler

For malicious allegations against His Royal Highness Igwe E.N.S Edeoga, of Mbano Nike, Enugu based lawyer Barr. Agbo Chukwuemeka has been told to tender a public apology to the traditional ruler.

The apology must be tendered 48 hours from the receipt of the letter signed by Counsel to the traditional ruler O.D Okeke esq.

failure to comply, the lawyer will gave legal action from the monarch.

The lawyer Barr Agbo Chukwuemeka in conjunction with Mr. Denis Agbo (Old Power of the community) and one Gilbert Agbo are accused of engaging in unhealthy and negative activities inimical to peace and order in the community.

“That on 13-07-2020, the ‘Crown Chief’ of our clients community Raymond Agbo (Nnanyelugo 1 of Neke Uno) wrote you a letter warning you to stop parading yourself as the Counsel/Legal Attorney to the community as such brief or position was at no time given to you by the community.

“However, in flagrant disregard to the above mentioned letter you and your cohorts above mentioned, hired some charlatans and led them to a paid public protest at the government house Enugu on 27/08/2020 and in the presence of the media (Press) falsely and maliciously alleged among other things:

A)That HRH Igwe E. N. S Edeoga (JP) incited the youths of the community to fight and kill themselves.

B) That HRH Igwe E.N.S Edeoga (JP) and one Mr. Anayo Agbo conspired amongst themselves and sold 500 plots of land belonging to the community and you and your group went and and arrested them and took them to court.

C) That HRH Igwe E.N.S Edeoga and the said Anayo Agbo illegally brought a Surveyor to measure the mentioned 500 plots and you and your group again arrested them and took them to the police.
These allegations you know to be false and malicious.

“It is further instruction of our client that you Barr. Agbo Chukwuemeka, is not from his community, NEKE UNO, but from neighbouring Community, Ugwogo Nike, and has no legal retainership as counsel to the community.
Your inimical actions in our client’s community and constantly maligning the person and office of our client has reduced the person and office of our client to public odium and disrepute.’

According to the letter, Barr. Chukwuemeka Agbo would face legal action if he does not retract the malicious allegations in two National Newspapers and also on the National radio or television within 48 hours.
